Body Modification Trends

If you want to stand out from others and you want to focus on extreme bodywork, you opt for a body modification.

In the U.S., it is a clear emerging trend. It's about endurance and is often associated with painful procedures that risk your health. Proper care is needed and body modification must be carried out professionally.

The possibilities are:

Implants consist of applying certain forms under the skin. E.g. horns (Dermal anchor piercing). Dermal anchor piercing is somewhat less. They are micro dermal piercings in one form of a mini-implant, a titanium plate with a raised stick, which Swarovski stone or other gem can screw.

Tongue Splitting; this method can be implemented using different techniques. A professional technique is the laser. The second is cut. We cut the tongue, but not completely. For six weeks, you will wear a bar and then we cut the rest.

Beading: It consists of applying beads under the skin. There are several methods to insert beads. The most common way is the pierce and taper method. Painful as this may sound, it hurts less than you might think. The sensation is similar to that of a piercing, but a little tighter. You insert beads in various  parts of the body, such as the genitals, but also in parts of the arm or hands. The beads are of  a variety of materials including : silicone, Teflon, titanium, and are available in a wide range of sizes.

Branding is also a brand new craze. You choose a shape or design for yourself. Branding should be done professionally.

Scarification: What it comes down to is that the skin is cut. Cutting a design is not extremely painful. It feels almost like getting a tattoo. Various designs are possible as well as different techniques. Some designs require a small piece of skin removed. The healing of a scarification takes roughly half years. Initially, the scar will be red but gradually lighter in colour.
